Freshly Made Sketches 198 - Bridal Shower Card

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card for you that I actually did a stash dive on.  I was trying to use up some of my retired supplies on this card.  I thought the color combo was perfect for a summertime bridal shower.  I used sketch 198 from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog as my inspiration.

Here's the card that I made:

Sadly, this stamp set, Love and Laughter, is no longer available.  I really loved this set.  I was a dummy and got rid of mine, so I had to go and borrow it from my friend!  I loved this Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper!  It's on the clearance rack right now so be sure to stock up!!!

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.  I love it!   It's so simple, but you can really add to it depending on your personal stamping style.

Here's a close up of the gold emobossed bridal gown.  I love how the gown is formed from all different sized text.

Thanks for checking out my blog today!  I always love to hear from you, so drop me a "hello" in the comments!

Engagement Card and Custom Made Envie!

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a card that was really fun to make using the Best of Brides and Babies stamp set.  I did some very simple watercoloring on the image using my Aquapainter and my ink pads.  It was so easy and I was so happy with how it came out!

I used my envelope punch board to make a custom envelope to match the card and I use a fun alpha set to stamp their names on the envie.

I like using the Designer Series Paper for creating envelopes because it is double sided.  You instantly have a fun design "lining" your envelope!

Brides and Babies Stamp A Stack Day 2

Hi Stampers!

I'm back with another card that I made for my Brides and Babies Stamp a Stack.  I originally called this a punch art card, but I think it's more like a Big Shot art card as almost all of the parts are cut using the Big Shot.  Oh well!  I do love my Big Shot!!!

To make the gown, I cut an oval out of Whisper White and then I cut the oval across (about 2/3 of the way down if you hold the oval vertically).  This gives you the lacy looking edge.  Then attach a heart cut using the Hearts Collection Framelits and put a sash around the "waist".  Very easy!

Stampin' Supplies:
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Brushed Silver
Punches: Scallop Trim Border, Boho Blossoms
Big Shot: Oval Framelits, Hearts Collection Framelits, Finishing Touches Edgelits
Embellishments: Basic Pearls, Marina Mist 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon
