CAS(E) This Sketch #136
Hello stampers!
This is a card that I like to think of as a little something old and a little something new. The old part is the bit of Midnight Muse card stock that I added to the top of the card. I loved that color and the envelope that holds all of what I have left is always next to my desk just in case I need this exact shade of blue! The something new are these fabulous new dies from Stampin' Up!'s 2015 Holiday Catalog!
I have created this card for the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. You can click on the picture below to go to the challenge blog and check it out.
Here is a close up of the top portion of the card. To create the snow on the Garden Green card stock, I first sponged on some Whisper White craft ink. Then I used my glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds to add the glittery edge. I made a bit of a boo boo when trimming the ends of my paper - lesson learned on that one!

Just Us Girls Challenge #306
Hi Stampers!
Today I have a card to share with you that I entered into the Just Us Girls Challenge for this week. It was a color challenge and I couldn't resist trying out some new stamps and dies. The new Delicate Ornament Thinlits dies are so cool. I pre-ordered the new Precision Plate for the Big Shot and it makes it super easy to cut out these intricate designs. No more wax paper for this girl!
The color challenge was to use black, red, and gray so I went with Basic Black, Real Red, and Smoky Slate as my color combo.
If you click on this image it will take you to the Just Us Girls Challenge blog where you can check out all of the fun inspiration for this color combo!
Here is a close up of the ornament. Can you see all of the fun new products used?

Color Throwdown #355
Hi Stampers!
I'm using more new product today for the Color Throwdown challenge. I think I buy a snowflake set every single year. I just LOVE snowflakes! (Too bad I hate real snow.) Here's the color combo for this week's Color Throwdown. If you want to play along, just click on the image below to go to their blog.
Hope that you have enjoyed my card today. Tell me what products from the new catalog you are most excited about in the comments!

Here's the color combo for this week's Color Throwdown. If you want to play along, just click on the image below to go to their blog.
I went with Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, and Smokey Slate as my colors for this throw down. I thought they were perfect for a snowflake card!
It might be difficult to see in the picture, but for the turquoise snowflakes, I added some sparkle with Iridescent Ice Stampin' emboss powder. This is really easy to do with photopolymer stamps. First I stamped the snowflakes with the Tempting Turquoise ink. After the ink has dried, I stamp again with Versamark and then heat emboss with the embossing powder. It's really easy to line up the images because of the see through photopolymer stamps.
I also added some of the fun new bling from the catalog to certain snowflakes for some extra sparkle! These are the Winter Wonderland Embellishments. Do you also see the two new punches I used on this card?
Hope that you have enjoyed my card today. Tell me what products from the new catalog you are most excited about in the comments!
Sneak Peek Products Used (Available Sept. 1st, 2015):
Winter Wonderland Embellishments
Snow Flurry Punch (will be available in a bundle)
Flurry of Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set (will be available in a bundle)

Freshly Made Sketches #199
Hi Stampers!
Today I have a sneak peek at a bunch of products from the brand new Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Catalog! I love being able to pre-order the holiday products so that I can get a head start on all of my holiday crafting.
I took some inspiration from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog. Here's the sketch that they posted for this week.
Here's my take on the sketch. I wanted to use a bunch of the new Halloween themed products from Stampin' Up! I used the new Witches' Night stamp set. It's photopolymer set that coordinates with a brand new home decor project kit, but it is also a great stand alone set for Halloween cards. Look at how big the stamp is! It's a perfect focal point for a card. I used it alone on a piece of Tangelo Twist card stock here, but it coordinates with the Lots of Labels framelits from the annual catalog. Do you also see the new Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper? It's really cute!
I repeated the same washi tape flags on the inside of the card for more interest. This is the new Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape. You know I love washi! There is also a third roll of tape which is Tangelo Twist with little white stars on it.
Hope you enjoyed some of my sneak peeks at the new catalog today! If you need some inspiration, make sure you check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog by clicking on the sketch above.

Watercolor Wings Gift Tag - Quick and Easy!
Today I have a quick and easy project to share with you. It's a fun little tag made with the Watercolor Wings stamp set. This stamp set is a lot of fun to play with it. You just keep adding layer upon layer of color until you get the effect you want. Because they are photopolymer stamps, it's super easy to line up the images for perfect stamping every time.
I was able to create this tag in under 10 minutes! You can just as easily create these tags yourself! Any questions? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for looking!

Freshly Made Sketches 198 - Bridal Shower Card
Hi Stampers!
Today I have a card for you that I actually did a stash dive on. I was trying to use up some of my retired supplies on this card. I thought the color combo was perfect for a summertime bridal shower. I used sketch 198 from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog as my inspiration.
Here's the card that I made:

Sadly, this stamp set, Love and Laughter, is no longer available. I really loved this set. I was a dummy and got rid of mine, so I had to go and borrow it from my friend! I loved this Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper! It's on the clearance rack right now so be sure to stock up!!!
Here is the sketch I used for inspiration. I love it! It's so simple, but you can really add to it depending on your personal stamping style.
Here's a close up of the gold emobossed bridal gown. I love how the gown is formed from all different sized text.
Thanks for checking out my blog today! I always love to hear from you, so drop me a "hello" in the comments!

You Rock!
Hi Stampers!
For today's card I went a little out of my comfort zone. I worked with a very bright, masculine color palette. I really love the new Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set from the 2015-2016 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. It's probably my favorite alpha set ever. It's a lot of fun to play with. Great for cards, but it's also a large enough size that it would look great on a scrapbook layout! I'm definitely going to have to try that!

By the Tide Watercolor Card
Hi Stampers!
It's summertime, so how about a beachy card? Today I have a card for you made with the By the Tide stamp set. This set is really great for making all kinds of cards. I made a background paper by inking an acrylic block with three different ink pads. Then I spritz it with some water and stamped the block on some watercolor paper. It made a cool watery looking background. Then I stamped and embossed the images in gold.
I layered the stamped image over a scrap of the burlap ribbon that was sitting on my desk. I frayed the ends a bit for some added texture.
I hope you liked my beach inspired card. Where is your favorite beach? Let me know in the comments!

May 2015 Hip Kit Club - Kill a Kit
I had recently signed up to receive the Hip Kit Scrapbooking monthly club. I have not been disappointed so far with the kits. They are chock full of tons of supplies. I get the main kit, the embellishment add on, and the card stock add on. I got 7 layouts out of this kit and I still have a lot left over to add to my stash!
Here are all of the layouts that I made with this kit!
1. Mud Buds: All supplies from the kit except for the wood button accent which is from Freckled Fawn and the piece of olive seam binding which is from my stash.
2. In the Sunshine: All supplies from the kit except for the wood button accents which are from Freckled Fawn. I also lifted this layout from Wendy Antenucci. You can find her beautiful layout HERE. You can see she did a lot more layering of embellishments than I did. I'm getting there but layering is still a challenge for me - especially layering embellishments!
3. Giant Citrons: All supplies from the kit. When I saw all of the citrus designs in this kit, I couldn't stop thinking about this photo from our 2013 trip to Italy. I'm getting a little better here with layering the embellishments!
4. Budgie Buddy: Hubby is probably not thrilled I'm posting this online, but too bad! This pic is super adorable! All supplies are from the kit. I really love the woodgrain paper.
5. Raise Your Face Up to the Sun: All supplies from the kit. I made this layout after watching the first installment of Scrapbooking for Mortals on the Victoria Marie youtube channel. Please go check out her videos! I was really happy with my layering on this layout. I was also experimenting with mixing up different fonts for my title.
6. Sisterly Love?: All supplies from the kit. Another experiment in layering! I was trying to pair up papers that would look OK with the orangey color of the photo.
7. More Please: This was the last layout I made with the kit and it ended up being my favorite out of all of them! I was really trying to focus on the concepts I learned in Victoria's video and I think it really paid off! I love the colors and the layering on this one!
Thanks for looking at my layouts from my May 2015 Hip Kit club kit. Feel free to leave me a comment. :-)
